The project to modernize the RC Puntijarka tower, which is an integral part of the Puntijarka meteorological station, represents a significant step in improving the infrastructure and safety of the facility.
For the purposes of this project, a detailed 3D measurement of the perimeter of the concrete columns of the tower was carried out at every three meters of height. The aim of the measurement was to check the deviations and inclination of the columns for the purpose of designing, manufacturing and installing the supports and the staircase structure to the top of the tower. The measurement also included an analysis of the dome at the top and the bottom of the tower landing, with a special focus on planning the construction of the new staircase.
The creation of a 3D model of the columns enabled precise planning and design of the steel staircase, railings, and platform that will be placed on the dome.
