A new level of service in the travel industry
At the Zagreb bus station, the Croatia Bus sales point has undergone a complete transformation and has become the first FlixBus Lounge for bus passengers in Europe. This has set a new standard in the travel experience and quality of service at bus stations.
In partnership with Croatia Bus, FlixBus has opened a multi-purpose space that combines ticket sales, a waiting room and an exclusive corner for passengers, creating a modern, functional and comfortable place for everyone who travels with FlixBus. The executive project and the entire implementation are signed by the Interijerka studio, which has behind it recognizable interiors with high demands on functionality and design.
The 170 square meter space required a thorough adaptation, with the key challenge of carrying out the work while the branch office operates almost continuously and providing daily services to passengers. The project included changing the floor plan, clearly separating the lounge area from the sales area, removing the old and building a new ticket office, renovating the infrastructure and precisely integrating all functional areas in a limited space.

Lounge area: comfort and functionality in every detail
58 square meters have been set aside for the lounge zone, and the space has been designed through several functional units:
- two seating areas — one with seating that allows you to charge devices and work on a laptop, the other with lounge chairs
- zone for consumption of snacks and drinks
- space for storing suitcases with a metal structure
baby changing & refreshing corner in the anteroom of the sanitary facility
All users of the FlixBus Lounge are provided with free Wi-Fi, and the project was supported by Jamnica, Violeta and Polleo Sport, enabling free or affordable use of their products as part of the lounge offer.
Conclusion
The FlixBus Lounge project has shown how precise planning and a reliable basis, such as that provided by laser measurement, can be crucial for the successful realization of demanding spaces. It is thanks to such an approach that it is possible to identify challenges in advance, avoid mistakes and enable execution that meets the high standards of modern passenger spaces.
