Project description
“WÄLDERHAUS” (House in the forest) – a project that causes admiration on an international level. As part of the International Building Exhibition (IBA Hamburg), this building is more than an architectural achievement – it is a manifestation of environmental awareness and innovative spirit.
The architecture of “WÄLDERHAUS” represents a conceptually new approach to multifunctional buildings. Built at the main entrance of the former International Garden Fair (IGS), this building is a visual symbol of harmony with nature. The wooden facade, as if it were an echo of distant forests, not only gives an aesthetic impression but also symbolizes the basic philosophy of the project – harmony with nature.
Within the walls of “WÄLDERHAUS”, the theme of “forest and wood” runs seamlessly through every corner, from interior to exterior, creating a sense of continuity and link with the environment.
During construction, emphasis was placed on precision and efficiency. The use of prefabricated wooden walls required a methodical approach, which was facilitated by innovative technological solutions. A critical part of the process was the precise placement of these walls, a task that was resolved with the help of advanced Flexijet 3D software and its ability to integrate 2D CAD drawings into an actual three-dimensional space.
Project summary
The effectiveness of Flexijet 3D technology was fully demonstrated by comparing the time required to install walls on three building levels.
This 350% increase in efficiency is not just a numerical figure – it is proof that innovations can transform the way we build and interact with the space around us. “WÄLDERHAUS” stands as a proof of the potential of technological progress in the service of sustainable development and construction excellence.
- Time required for conventional measurement: 21 days
- Time required with Flexijet - 6 days
- Saving time and money: 15 days, $18,000
- Efficiency and accuracy: immeasurable
