3D measurement as the basis of the complex interior of the Chef Yao restaurant Project description The Chef Yao restaurant in Zagreb is one of the projects that has already attracted a lot of media and public attention during its opening phase. However, behind the attractive interior lies a complex design and implementation process, in which precision and coordination of all participants played a key role. It is precisely such projects that best demonstrate how important quality technical preparation is before the actual implementation. For the Chef Yao restaurant decoration project in Ilica, Zagreb, Studio Ruan (Nikola Pavlinić) was responsible for the concept, design, and conceptual and implementation solution of the interior. Our company Studio Element participated in 3D measurement, technical preparation, production and installation of key interior elements, while our long-time collaborator Articus produced and coated the decorative metal structures. Project challenges The restaurant interior is characterized by precise metal decorative elements, benches and booths that are custom-made, and must perfectly follow the space and architectural lines of the building. In projects of this type, precision is key – even minimal deviations can cause problems during production and assembly. Since this is a complex interior with many custom-made elements, it was necessary to ensure the most accurate 3D measurements of the space before production began. Flexijet 3D survey as the basis of the project Flexijet 3D surveying as the foundation of the projectFor the space surveying, we used the Flexijet 3D system for digital CAD surveying, which allows direct transfer of measured data to CAD software in real time.This way of working enabled us to: creating a precise digital model of space, direct transfer of measurements into design and production, elimination of classic errors in manual measurements, significantly reducing preparation and production time.Thanks to Flexijet technology, all interior elements could be designed exactly according to the actual dimensions of the space, without the need for additional corrections during assembly. Interior elements made Studio Element was responsible for: technical preparation of the project, construction, production and assembly of benches and booths, upholstery of seating elements,creation of the reception area of ​​the interior.Decorative metal grilles, which are an important visual element of the space, were produced by our partner Articus, while their finishing was carried out through the plasticization process. Result The combination of precise digital measurement, high-quality technical preparation and cooperation between the designer, manufacturer and contractor resulted in an interior in which all elements were executed exactly according to the project – without subsequent adjustments on the construction site. Flexijet technology in this project enabled: greater precision in design and production, faster preparation of documentation, faster preparation of documentation, optimization of the entire process from measurement to final performance. Precise measurement and reliable execution in an irregular space Caffe bar Leonardo Project description The renovation project of the Caffe Bar Leonardo in Split required a high level of precision, good organization and technically reliable execution. It is a space that remained in use for most of the work, while simultaneously realizing a demanding interior concept with clearly defined aesthetic and functional goals. The concept, space design and execution solution are signed by Tassotti Design, while Studio Element d.o.o. was responsible for precise Flexijet 3D measurements of the actual situation, technical development of the draft, production and installation of designed upholstered furniture, wall panels, shelves, bar, mirrors, etc. Project challenges The area of ​​Caffe bar Leonardo had several specific challenges: irregular walls and deviations from ideal geometry, carrying out work in several phases, working in an active catering facility, which required precise assembly planning and minimal tolerances in execution. In such conditions, classical measurement methods do not provide a sufficient level of security, because they cannot fully capture the actual geometry of the space or ensure consistency between the designed and constructed state. Solution: Flexijet 3D surveying and technical preparation Studio Element conducted a millimeter-accurate 3D space measurement on the project using Flexijet technology. Precise 3D measurement and CAD drawing support for a curved sintered quartz hotel bar Project description The reconstruction of the Pical Hotel in Poreč included several phases of interior modernization, including the creation of a new sintered quartz bar. Such elements require exceptional measurement precision, especially when they contain curved surfaces and radii that must be defined without deviations. At the request of the company Lateramen d.o.o., responsible for the creation of the quartz bar, a detailed 3D measurement was carried out using the Flexijet system and technical documentation was prepared as a basis for accurate and safe production. Project challenges Our partner, the company Lateramen d.o.o., took on the production of a bar that contains multiple curved surfaces. For proper CNC cutting, it was necessary to: obtain absolutely precise radii, document the actual condition of the space, prepare technically correct designs that can be used without corrections. Sintered quartz does not allow for mistakes – an error of just a few millimeters can result in expensive re-cutting and delays in execution.Traditional manual measurement methods could not ensure sufficient accuracy, so it was decided to use Flexijet 3D, a measurement system of which we – Studio Element d.o.o. are the regional representative. Especially when it comes to materials like natural stone – elegant, durable, but at the same time technically demanding and sensitive to the slightest mistake. This was exactly the case with the kitchen in a private house on Zagreb’s Sv. Duh, where the client had a clear vision: stone countertops and wall coverings that would fit the space perfectly, without compromise and without room for improvisation. In a world where every mistake can mean thousands of euros in loss, the solution was not classic manual measurement, but technology that offers what luxury materials demand – absolute precision. Discover below how the Flexijet 3D system became a key ally in the realization of this demanding but spectacular project – from digital measurement to perfectly mounted stone surfaces that will take your breath away. Challenges:The investor ordered the production of natural stone kitchen surfaces for the kitchen island countertop, the countertop with sink, and wall cladding with holes for two sockets. Given that these are expensive materials that do not tolerate errors, it was necessary to ensure maximum measurement accuracy before starting construction. Solutions:In order to eliminate the possibility of manufacturing errors, a Flexijet 3D digital measurement device was used. A detailed 3D measurement of the already installed kitchen elements was made, including: the exact dimensions of the kitchen island and its edges, position of the elements with the sink in relation to the wall, heights and depths for stone processing, the positions of two sockets that had to be precisely cut into the wall covering. The data obtained from the measurement was imported into CAD software and prepared for processing on CNC machines. This enabled: making a stone slab with absolute accuracy, precise processing of openings for sockets without the need for manual corrections, perfect fit of all elements already at the first assembly. This virtually eliminated the possibility of human error during the production process, which is especially important when dealing with expensive materials such as natural stone. Measurement a private house in Zadar Project description The reconstruction of a private house in Zadar presented a unique challenge for our entire team – to achieve the perfect combination of functionality and aesthetics, with maximum precision in the production of custom-made furniture. Thanks to Flexijet 3D technology, a strong foundation was laid for a fast, accurate and successful project, and cooperation with our partner company specialized in the design, production and assembly of furniture enabled all interior elements – from the kitchen and living room, through the children’s room, to the bedroom with its own bathroom – to be executed without compromise. Measurement, furniture design and technical preparation of furniture – custom bathroom construction Project description Measuring the position for making bathroom furniture to hide the hot water tank, gas boiler and central heating installation. A small and cramped space with many objects requires very good preparation in designing and making custom-made furniture. Devices like Flexijet come to the fore in such situations.With the Flexijet device, we took accurate CAD measurements of all relevant positions in the space, after designing the furniture with the MegaTISCHLERpro CAD/CAM software, we received high-quality technical preparation for making the furniture. The complete furniture was made with CNC machines, drilling and milling prepared with a combination of Flexijet and MegaTISCHLERpro programs, they “laid” perfectly in their place in the new bathroom. Measurement of the substructure of hotel food serving counters for their cladding in Laminam. Project description In the luxurious hotel environment of the Grand Hotel Adriatic in Opatija, where aesthetics and precision play an extremely important role, we were faced with the challenge of measuring the substructure of hotel food serving counters that will be clad in Laminam. The main goal was to enable perfect cladding of the counter with Laminam, with the accuracy required for irregular lines and demanding surfaces. Using advanced 3D measurement technology with the Flexijet system, this project was realized with outstanding results. Challenges Design complexity: Hotel counters are shaped with irregular lines and angles. Each surface required precise measurement to determine the exact angles and dimensions for Laminam processing. Demanding surface: Counter surfaces are designed so that the cladding requires minimal tolerance for deviations. Measurement errors could result in improper Laminam fitting and additional costs. Auxiliary counters: In addition to the main counter, two auxiliary counters had to be perfectly aligned with the main counter along the aesthetic line. Solution – Flexijet 3D Technology To ensure millimeter-level accuracy, the Flexijet 3D system, the leading technology for 3D laser measurement, was used. This tool allowed us to: Digitally measure the substructure of existing counters: A 3D model of the counter with precisely defined geometry of all irregular lines and angles. Measurement of a private apartment in Pula divided into 3 units Project description ChallengeThe client needed a reconstruction of an apartment consisting of three separate units, with a clear focus on precision and space optimization. Each unit had to include a sleeping area, kitchen, and bathroom, with a modern and functional design. Special attention was given to the space between the bedroom and bathroom, which had to be separated by glass walls to make the space feel larger and more airy.
