Complex handrails made of solid oak wood

Complex handrails made of solid oak wood – from 3D measurements to CNC production Project description Johannes Wortmann, a colleague and Flexijet user from Balve (Germany), carried out the production of curved handrails for the new gymnasium building in Bochum, using the Flexijet 3D to measure the curved concrete surfaces of the building structure. structure. The data obtained from the measurement was sent to the CNC machine center in Balve, where the handrails were made of solid oak wood. Thanks to the precise measurement, production on the CNC machine could be carried out with millimeter accuracy in all three axes. On-site assembly was possible without additional repairs or adjustments to completed parts – everything was a perfect fit immediately. In addition to saving time and money during measurement and assembly, Flexijet 3D provides security in planning, construction and production, because it is based on reliable data.Johannes Wortmann stated: “Without the Flexijet precision and workflow the realization would not have been economical. We wouldn’t have taken on this project without Flexijet.” Project summary With Flexijet 3D, you get millimeter precision, exact angles and radius – and you have access to the data during the measurement, that is, on the spot. Flexijet 3D provides safety and professionalism from measurement to assembly.Flexijet 3D measurement system enabled significant time and money saving in this project. Time required for conventional measurement: 40 hours Time required with Flexijet – 14 hours Time saved: 26 hours Efficiency and accuracy: immeasurable Flexijet measurement Flexijet measurements Finished product

Measurement and technical preparation for making stair treads

Measurement and technical preparation for making stair treads Project description Measurement of the metal structure and walls for making treads for a circular staircase.Due to the specific position of the staircase, the measurement alone would not be enough and the client would be required to make templates as well. Fortunately, with the combination of the Flexijet device and the MegaTISCHLERpro program, we shortened the process and it was enough to measure and construct the treads and create a CNC program for processing the treads. The advantages of the Flexijet measurement are that we received extremely precise data on angles, heights and curves. Additional costs for material for making templates, aids such as ladders, scaffolding, laser levels and tools for making templates weren’t needed. All we used was a laptop and a Flexijet device. All measurement data are in CAD and technical preparation and creation of CNC programs can be started immediately. Flexijet operator for 3D measurement and creation of measurement plans:Edo AganovićClient and project executor: Drvona d.o.o. Project summary Precise measurement and planning, combined with quality execution ensured the successful completion of this project. Time required for conventional measurement: 8 hours Time required with Flexijet – 1 hour, technical preparation and creation of CNC program: 2 hours Time saved: 5 hours Efficiency and accuracy: immeasurable Flexijet measurement Flexijet measurements Technical preparation

Tree house

Tree house Project description Designing and building a tree house high in the oak tree. The spiral staircase of the treehouse was to pass through the existing building below which the staircase could be accessed. Sounds like a nightmare project! How do you measure and model a tree in CAD? Conventional measurements are certainly out of the question. How do you determine all joints, angles and steps in relation to each other? The answer is of course Flexijet 3D! Operator: Mr Carsten Thomas, Bielefeld www.akzente-treppen.deContractor: Meschter Metalltechnikwww.meschter.deClient: Private investor The contractors stated that they would not have accepted the work on this project if they had not been able to use the Flexijet. Project summary A construction company hired Carsten Thomas to create a 3D CAD model of an existing oak tree using a Flexijet 3D laser measurement system. The Flexijet 3D allowed Carsten to collect all relevant measurements, including the thickness of the oak tree’s trunk and branches, and the building connected underneath. All this was achieved without the use of ladders, ropes or scaffolding. In just 2.5 hours, measurements were safely taken from ground level providing extremely precise dimensions, accurate angles and curves.Additional advantages of the Flexijet measurements are that we received perfectly precise CAD data of the tree, the position of the branches, diameters, slopes. Flexijet 3D allowed us to measure all relevant data directly in CAD from the ground, without any further aids, ladders, scaffolding, car cranes, additional people or acrobatic climbing Time required for conventional measurement: impossible to determine Time required with Flexijet – 2.5 hours Saving time and money: immeasurable Efficiency and accuracy: immeasurable Flexijet measurements Flexijet measurements 3D view 3D view Completed project Completed project
